The guesthouse has 7 bedrooms and 3 shared bathrooms. Bookings are subject to availability and may be booked through Breakspear Reception +44 (0) 1442 261 333 ext. 300.

  6. Why does Breakspear offer single Measles and Rubella vaccines when the clinic specialises in allergy and environmental medicine?

Although single mumps vaccines are no longer made, it is extremely important for children to have protection through immunisation, and we fear that parents may choose not to immunise their children at all if they can not obtain single vaccines as an alternative to the MMRII vaccine. We have discussed this view with the British Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) who have agreed to continue to give their consent to the import of single measles and single rubella vaccines that on this basis.
If you suspect that you/your child has a sensitivity or reaction to eggs, we offer a desensitising programme prior to receiving the single vaccinations.  More information is available in our Individual Measles and Rubella Vaccines section.

  7. I've heard your clinic practices "alternative medicine". Are your practitioners qualified?

Our practitioners are all registered doctors. See Our Team for a biography on each practitioner. Also, our nurses are fully qualified and have been specially trained in low-dose immunotherapy allergy testing. The clinic is registered with the The Care Quality Commission (registration number: C010000662).

(The Care Quality Commission is the new health and social care regulator for England. Their new web address is www.cqc.org.uk. As new registration details become available, they will be posted.)
